Pharmacy Professional Development
The Pharmacy Awareness Campaign, sponsored by the Professional Development Committee of the Maryland Pharmacist’s Association, has been designed to highlight the dynamic role of a pharmacist and promote pharmacist’s contributions to improving the health of the communities in which we serve.
Beginning in October 2010, monthly topics of benefit to the community will be highlighted and materials will be posted to the MPhA website for the use of pharmacists throughout the state of Maryland . Pharmacists are encouraged to print out and distribute the tri-fold brochures at their respective practice sites and other non- pharmacy venues where pharmacy services can be showcased and promoted. Slideshow presentations have also been developed and can be used to educate patients. These documents and slide presentations are available in unprotected formats so that pharmacy logos and additional information can be easily added. Additionally, it is recommended that pharmacists collaborate with student pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to determine creative ways to present the materials in their communities.
